News:
The
core members of the ACFDC voted to propose to the WCWA to
become their own specialty unit.
Company History
The Army of the Columbia Fife and Drum Corp
formed in 1999 to portray Union Field Musicians that existed
to perform camp duty, field signals such as skirmish drill and
battalion commands, and parade or marching tunes. The
"Music" as it was sometimes called, was the sounds
and alarm clock of Civil War armies.
Formed of amateur and professional
musicians, we strive to accurately portray the Field Musician
from 1860-1865 with beginner to advanced skill levels.
