WCWA Confederate Battalion
Adams Legion

The Confederate Battalion of the WCWA consists of 6 regiments of Infantry, 2 regiments of Cavalry, 3 Artillery batteries, 1 regiment of Marines with artillery, 1 Company of Engineers, the C.S.A. Medical Department, and the VMI cadet Corps.

Also attached to and under the protection of the Confederate Military, are the Confederate refugees, and Our Confederate Civilians are always close by in the comforts of their towns. Each unit is their own separate club with their own requirements, regulations, and identity, but on the Field we fight as one cohesive Battalion.

We Drill according to Hardee’s 1861-62 C.S.A. Drill manuel and our camps are setup according to C.S.A. 1863 regulations. Our Units strive to be as period correct as possible and still enjoy the experience, the camaraderie and the friendships.

At our Field Events, our Camps are open to the public and if you choose to tour them you will witness various scenarios throughout the day. Pay call, Mail call, Military discipline, possible executions, and general camp life are just a few you may experience.

We also participate in Parades, Living History portrayals, School events, Period Fashion Shows, and Tacticals.
